Day 4: Celebrate

Junior turned seventeen, something that doesn't happen every day. Per family tradition, she got to pick the day's activities: a showing of "The Graduate" at the Castro followed by dim sum.

I set everything aside - worries, deadlines, housework, and tried to appreciate every minute, including the naked men relaxing in the sun in front of a little cafe nex to the theater (hey, it's the Castro!) and me and Dad sneaking into a Chinese wedding so we could ooh and ah over the bride in her gorgeous scarlet dress.

Also, The Graduate is still fantastic, although it reminds me that every middle-aged woman in film who possesses a libido must be punished. Oh well, at least in this one she isn't killed or mocked.
